Yakima Pride Parade
Saturday, June 8, 2024 | KICK-OFF AT 10:00 AM!
March to the Beat of Inclusion 🌈
Yakima Pride encourages you to join us: OUT, LOUD and PROUD as we honor those that came before us and those who advocate alongside us.Â
Be a part of the heartbeat of our community - the Pride Parade! Whether you strut with style, roll with flair, or ride in celebration, the stage is set for you. Join us in lifting the monumental Pride Flag high as we transform Yakima Ave into a vibrant rainbow pathway!
We encourage all LGBTQ+ identifying people, supportive and affirming businesses, non-profit groups, schools, and community allies to participate.
Yakima has a long history and tradition of parades that celebrate the community, families, businesses, and schools. We believe that Pride Parades should also be part of this tradition.
While LGBTQ+ Pride celebrations in Yakima have often been celebrated out of public view and often in secrecy; we believe that Pride Parades should be celebrated in the spirit of visibility and "One Community."Â

Let's ignite the celebration!Â
Join the Yakima Pride Parade on June 8, 2024 and proudly display your Pride as we march through the heart of downtown Yakima! Whether you're representing a GSA, a local business, or a community group, everyone is welcome to express themselves and be part of the parade!
In 2022 and 2023, we made history alongside our friends from Seattle PrideFest by presenting an unforgettable moment in Yakima's LGBTQ+ history. Together, we unfurled a massive 135 feet long and 30 feet wide PRIDE FLAG down Yakima Avenue, creating a truly glorious sight!
This year, we're bringing back the GIANT PRIDE FLAG, and we need your help to carry this beautiful symbol along Yakima Ave!
Spots are limited!
Anyone that wish to march in the Yakima Pride Parade are encouraged to meet at Portia Park between 8:30-9:45AM.
To register, designate one person to represent your group and communicate with us before and during the event. We're committed to keeping things organized and minimizing confusion!
Safety and respect are paramount during the parade:
Please immediately report any suspicious activity. (TEXT 509-426-7799, video, pictures, etc)
Please refrain from engaging with any protesters. Lead with love!
Please refrain from throwing items and candy out along the parade route. (you may hand items out directly)

Let's ensure everyone has a fantastic time by prioritizing safety. Safety first!
Yakima Pride embraces every individual, and we're grateful for a community that celebrates diversity. Let's all have a blast while being mindful of our surroundings and respectful to all attendees, especially the younger ones. So, let's dress appropriately and act with kindness and respect!
