A community event proudly produced by Yakima Pride and its annual partners, sponsors, and advocates!
We are beyond thrilled to invite you to join us for an incredible celebration of love, resilience, and connection! Yakima Pride, along with our annual partners, sponsors, and advocates, are proudly presenting a community event that promises to be a magical experience like no other.
After facing unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic, we know that we need community and connection more than ever. This event will not only allow us to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community's resilience in the face of adversity but also give us the opportunity to come together and share the true spirit of Pride.
In 2022, our community made history by carrying the Seattle PrideFest giant 130' foot PRIDE 🏳️🌈 flag along Yakima Avenue through Downtown Yakima, with the Seattle Seahawks joining us in the Yakima Pride Parade! Our festival attendance was over 4,200 guests, and Yakima Pride Festival & Parade was VOTED BEST COMMUNITY EVENT by the Yakima Herald-Republic 2022 Readers' Choice Awards! We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished and cannot wait to make even more memories with you.
Whether you are a returning guest or coming for the first time, this event promises to be a celebration of love, joy, and unity. So please join us and invite your friends and family to proudly celebrate PRIDE and share this beautiful event in our amazing community!
With all our love and excitement,

The Giant Pride Flag Experience
In 2022, a 135-foot-long Pride flag was carried down Yakima Avenue, and it was a historic moment for the LGBTQ+ community in the Yakima Valley. This year, we will be unfurling the giant pride flag again! Spaces are limited, get registered today!
Some ideas for Pride Parade entries could include:
Contingents representing different LGBTQ+ identities and groups such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and non-binary communities.
Floats decorated with rainbow flags, balloons, and other symbols of LGBTQ+ pride.
Cars and motorcycles decorated with Pride-themed decorations, flags, and banners.
Dance groups, marching bands, and other performers showcasing their talents.
Drag artists and other performers are encouraged to ride on floats or decorated vehicles.
Non-profit organizations and charities that support LGBTQ+ rights and causes.
Political organizations and candidates who support LGBTQ+ rights and issues.
LGBTQ+ affinity groups from local businesses and corporations.
Religious groups and congregations that are LGBTQ+ affirming.
Community organizations and service groups that provide support and resources for LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
Overall, we want a diverse and inclusive mix of entries that represent the many facets of the LGBTQ+ community and promote a message of love, acceptance, and equality for all.
Please don't engage with protesters or throw items at the crowd, and ensure the safety of those riding on floats, vehicles or trailers. Let's be respectful and mindful of our surroundings.
Detailed line up/staging information will be provided after approval.
